    Description

Hello, here are TWO! "ONE on EACH SIDE" nice and 100% natural Diplomystus Dentatus Fish fossils with very well preserved BONES in their 50 Million Year Old Green River Formation Matrix! This fossil was quarried in an extinct lake that is known as Fossil Lake in Lincoln County, Wyoming and it dates from the Eocene epoch a CRAZY 53.5 to 48.5 Million YEARS ago!
Here's More Info....Fifty-million years ago an ancient Lake existed in what is now Southwest Wyoming, US. The unusual chemistry of the lake created conditions that prevented decay while alternating layers of limestone and organic matter accumulated. The resulting laminated limestone LAYERS contain the highest concentration of articulated fish fossils in the world....neat!
The largest fish measures around 9.43cm or 3.75" at its biggest or from its nose to its tail and the overall piece or matrix is 16.8cm or 6 5/8" at its biggest or from side to side. Please note that a display STAND is included.
